๐Ÿ“ˆ SKU groups

Analyze demand on any set of products, such as rotational, strain-based skus, in Happy Buyers to understand sell-through, days on hand, and units to reorder.

What does a SKU group (formerly demand group) do?

SKU groups calculate an aggregated, smart run-rate across the group of products, only dropping out-of-stocks when ALL sellable product quantities are zero. They allow fast and accurate insight into the sales and overall demand for like-products, with no need to create massive pivot tables. An automated suggested order is also generated and can be easily be shared with your vendorโ€”saving time while improving order accuracy.

Examples of products to group are rotational-SKUs or products with similar price, weight, and even strain classification:

  • Jeeter 1G prerolls
  • Smokiez Sour Fruit Chews
  • 100mg brownies, 3.5g Indica house flower
  • .5g live rosin ceramic vape carts
  • ....the list is endless!

How to create a SKU group

Demandgroup-emailheader-1

  1. Go to the restock report in Happy Buyers โ†—๏ธ
  2. Set your desired days on hand, lead time and lookback period
  3. Filter down to a subset of products using the category filters on the left of the screen
  4. Use the search bar to further refine the group of products
  5. Click Create SKU group on the top right of your restock report.
  6. Name your SKU group accordingly. For example: [Brand name] 1g Pre-rolls
  7. Decide if you want it to reoccur/automatically run one or multiple days per week.   Leaving this unchecked will only analyze demand for this group one time, but you can always re-run your report on demand to get accurate run rates.
  8. Check if you'd like the report emailed to you once its complete. You can also add multiple email addresses to anyone in or out of your organization that you would like to receive the report.
  9. Click Create and run. It will take a few minutes before your report is generated.

Note: Some filters can not be added to a SKU group as it skews the forecast such as Restock only, Active products, and out of stock only.

Navigate to the SKU Group page to view a list of all your created groups

  • Star your favorite groups for quick access
  • If a latest report has low stock at any store, a low stock status will be visible
  • If a report is more than 3 days old it will have an out of date status so you will not order with the outdated information
